Southwest Airlines Gives L Word Star The Boot
Singer/Actress Leisha Hailey, best known as Alice on Showtime's "The L Word" and the band Uh Huh Her, was shown the exit on a recent Southwest flight, and she says it's because of her sexuality. According to her, the flight attendant got a little moody when Hailey kissed her girlfriend. Leisha went to Twitter to vent: “I have been discriminated against by @SouthwestAir. Flt. attendant said it was a ‘family’ airline and kissing was not ok. Since when is showing affection towards someone you love illegal? I want to know what Southwest Airlines considers a ‘family.I know plenty of wonderful same sex families I would like to introduce them to. Boycott @SouthwestAir if you are gay. They don’t like us. We were escorted off the plane for getting upset about the issue. @SouthwestAir endorses homophobic employees. No one made her accountable. This is an outrage. I demand a public apology by @SouthwestAir and a refund. Hate is not a family value. I will never fly this airline.” Southwest has replied since then with this statement: “Initial reports indicate that we received several passenger complaints characterizing the behavior as excessive. Our crew, responsible for the comfort of all Customers on board, approached the passengers based solely on behavior and not gender. The conversation escalated to a level that was better resolved on the ground, as opposed to in flight. We are ready to work directly with the passengers involved to offer our heartfelt apologies for falling short of their expectation.” I think SOMEBODY is afraid of having a homophobic reputation, and I do wonder if they had been straight if they would've gotten as many "complaints".
Thanks to gossipcop.com for the story :)

R.I.P Vesta Williams :(
This story is especially sad for me because I actually have gotten to meet her. I was on TV when I was 15, meeting my favorite singer Shanice, and Vesta was one of the other celebrities that were there. All 5 of the ladies (the other 3 being Olivia Newton-John, Martina McBride, and Crystal Wilson) were there promoting a Christmas album called "Mother & Child". Anyway, Vesta Williams was found dead today. No reason for her death has been officially released yet, but many prescription bottles were found in her hotel room where her body was found. Many celebrities took to Twitter and Facebook to share their thoughts on the devastating news. Williams rose to fame in the 1980s, and went through a major weight loss in the 90s. If you want to send her family your thoughts or prayers, she was @vesta4u on Twitter, or just use her name (trending topic).

Kid From "It Gets Better" Video Commits Suicide
Jamey Rodemeyer, a 14 year old gay teen, committed suicide on Sunday. You may remember seeing him in the "It Gets Better" campaign back in May. Lady Gaga has stepped up to the plate to help end this national "trend".
R.E.M Call It Quits
R.E.M. broke up after 31 years together. They were (in my honest opinion) one of the best bands - ever. I am sad to see them go, but their music will always live on in our memories.

My "Unforgettable" Review
Tonight was the series premiere of the new CBS show, "Unforgettable" starring former "Without A Trace" star, Poppy Montgomery. The first episode was ok, but I do think it had a really slow start. I guess they had to spend a little time introducing her character, but they could've done that over a period of time and just jumped right into the storyline. The rest of the episode was pretty good and I like how she figures things out. It's also not hard to follow like some shows are. The series also stars Dylan Walsh, Kevin Rankin, Michael Gaston, and Daya Vaidya :)

The Challenge Reunion
First off, points to Johnny and Kenny for wearing shirts promoting themselves - that was full of win. Also, I don't know if Jenn was in a really bad mood that day or just mad at the world, but what the fuck?! I mean I love her, but geez. Don't get on her bad side, or piss her off! Evelyn looked awesome, but I wish they would've given her more screen time (I mean in 5 hours of filming, you couldn't give her 10 minutes of air time?). I am not the biggest fan of Paula, but she did make me laugh with some of her comments. Cara Maria looked smoking hot in that dress, and as always, Thank God for Laurel - she is always there for back up! Now onto the guys, besides getting to the final, I didn't really understand why the rookies were there. They barely even said anything. Just so they could say they have been to a reunion? Well, congrats fellas. I have to wonder if Wes is as much of a dick in real life that he appears to be on TV, but honestly he wasn't too bad at the Reunion. It was nice to see Adam and CT, and I wish they had made it to the final. I felt really bad for Adam when my girl Jenn was yelling at him :(. I would love to meet CT in person to see if he is as scary as everyone seems to think he is.
The 2011 Video Music Awards
This is just my personal opinion, but I think Bruno Mars totally killed it with his Any Winehouse tribute. By far my favorite performance of the night. My least favorite performance? That's a tough one, but I have to go with Jay-Z and Kanye West. I also think Lady Gaga could've gotten out of costume to do the song at least. I thought Jessie J did a great job as the house band that night, and Kevin Hart is hilarious. Although a lot of big things happened that night, none of them seem to compare to Beyonce's pregnancy. It's all people have been talking about (that and Demi Lovato's "weight"). Since when isn't it healthy to NOT look anorexic? I thought she looked great! As far as Beyonce and Jay-Z - congratulations! I am glad Katy Perry finally won some moon men, and the Video Vanguard Award was well deserved by Ms Spears. I do think "Grenade" should've won something, and Adele should've too.
