She was 79 years old. Her children were at her bedside when she passed on at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Elizabeth Taylor may have been a screen legend, but her personal life got a lot of attention too. She was married 8 times! (including Conrad Hilton, Eddie Fisher, and twice to Richard Burton) She was also an AIDS activist. She rose to fame as a child actress.
